NATURE'S GREATEST FOE

 NATURE’S GREATEST FOE

Have you ever wonder who nature’s greatest rival is? Have you ever asked who confronted the powers of nature? Every creature on earth are under the jurisdiction of nature and hence, everyone has to follow its rules. Among every creature under the jurisdiction of nature is the ever daring one, given exclusively the power to face the scepter of nature, MAN. Man has been the torn in the flesh of nature. They are a unique and special creature ever.

Nature is the driving force of every facts and events on earth. It determine what happens and what will never happen, what will be and what will never be except if it clashes against the divine will of its creator.

A rule is set by nature which man has struggled to always defy and hence making nature tough against them. That rule is to frustrate procreation. It is known that earth is a planet that supports life. Whereas, its supports it to a certain extent according to the wish of nature. There are weapons in which nature uses to suppress procreation and multiplication. It is known as environmental resistance. It imposes a physiological stress that tend overwhelm living things. Some of these are;

Food shortage

Competition

Diseases

Predation

The above list are population-dependent. There are also population-independent factors like typhoon, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, etc. Man has designed techniques or strategies to somewhat defend themselves and other creatures from the tyranny of nature.

Food shortage: When living things are overpopulated, food and other resources become scarce to depress the population of its users. Man has developed farming activities and technologies to extract the resources they need.

Competition: Animals with favorable traits tend to survive in harsh condition as predicted by Charles Darwin due to the handwork of nature known as Natural selection. Man do not need to compete as tough as other animals do. They just control their population through Birth Control mechanism.

Diseases: In an overpopulated environment, disease rapidly spread and wipe out some certain amount of organism in the population. However, man has raised medical personnel to keep humans in check against many kinds of diseases.

Predation: Predators have adaptive structures and appearances to aid its foraging behavior, preys also possess its own. However, man as preys and predators have no well-developed structures such as claws, canines, etc, compared with animals especially in the wild but possess knowledge, wisdom and intelligence of high rating to create weapons that can even wipe out as many predators as possible hence making man to be one of the most strongest creature that can secure its population.

The most effective weapon of nature against man are natural disasters like flood, earthquakes etc which are the rarest events so far.

Man is indeed a relentless creature due to their unique and special essence they are endowed with.
